Camping
There is no free camping within the Shire. "Camping" includes sleeping in a vehicle, tent, caravan, and swag.
It is an offence to camp, other than in a registered caravan park or designated camping ground/nature-based camping area.
Any person found camping in an area other than a registered/designated camping location, will receive an on-the-spot $100.00 fine.
Council wishes to advise that the following fee structure for camping at Cleaverville and Forty Mile Point will apply for the tourist season 1 May to 30 September (maximum 3 month stay).
1 Night $7
7 Nights (in advance) $45
28 Nights (in advance) $150
Fees are payable to the caretaker on site.

Boat ramps (four wheel drive)
Waste collection
Sullage points
Please note that there is no water, no toilets, and minimal shade.
You must have a chemical toilet to camp.
