The Shire of Roebourne is located approximately 1,535kms north of Perth and 850kms south of Broome on the North West Coastal Highway.

The Shire of Roebourne controls an area of approximately 15,197 sq kms, has its offices in the township of Karratha, a modern township that is now recognised as the administrative centre of the Pilbara.
Another five townsites being the industry-based Dampier and Wickham, the historic towns of Roebourne and Cossack, the coastal retreat of Point Samson surround Karratha. All of these townsites are located within a 50 square kilometre radius.
With excellent winter weather, great fishing, spectacular scenery and the beauty of both Millstream and Karijini National Parks right on our doorstep, the Shire of Roebourne is most definitely a destination that should be on your ‘must visit’ list.
