Libraries
The Shire of Roebourne has four libraries at Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne and Wickham. The Karratha Community Library is temporarily situated at the Pam Buchanan Family Centre in Baynton West.
All libraries are serviced by the State Library of Western Australia which provides regular exchanges of new books.
All Shire residents may use the libraries free of charge and can use their library card to borrow from any of the libraries. Initial loan period is 2 weeks. All Libraries offer word processors and Internet access. Photocopiers are available for public use. The Shire Libraries also conduct story telling sessions for pre-school children. Please enquire at your local library for times and days.
The following databases are licensed under a state-wide agreement and are available for use from home using your Western Australian public library membership card number.
